After watching Ken Robinson's TED Talk about education, express your thoughts on how his views do/do not relate to the concept of Genius Hour. What about Ken Robinson's views do you agree/disagree with? After Watching the TED Talk by Ken Robinson, I feel that his views somewhat relate to genius hour. He explains that children have a mind full of creativity. Genius Hour is full of creative ideas. He also explains that we fear failure. Which is absolutely true. Some students might try to "quit" there own creative project, just because something went wrong. Instead of quitting something, you should try your hardest tow outcome it. Like Ken said, we learn from our mistakes.
I agree that we should have less tests! I would rather taking a quiz after every chapter, and then a test after every 2-3 chapters. Plus it saves on paper and gives the teacher more free time.

Now that you have taken part in Genius Hour for a Marking Period, how can you relate to the Article? Do you agree/disagree with the info in the article? Do you have anything new to add to the discussion? I myself, can relate to the article, because I have never heard of Genius Hour before this year. I agree with this article, because I like doing my own thing, and not what others tell me to do. I also like how no matter what happens, we can always work around the problem. Genius Hour is by far my favorite thing to do in English. I look forward to being able to work on my project every Friday. I like to hear about other people's projects, and see how the pro's and con's of the project.
