Read the article "How Geniuses Think." Respond to the following: Describe the author's interpretation of Genius and how it differs from conventional definitions of Genius. What are the shared strategies of geniuses? How does your Genius Hour project encourage you to use some of these strategies? The authors interpretation of Genius is different from other definitions of Genius. The author describes Genius as "thinking productively not reproductively." A Genius does not think't need to be super smart, just one possible way to solve a problem, they think of as many possible ways they can to solve it. They don't have to have a gpa of 4.0, or have a high IQ. The normal thoughts of someone being a Genius are that they have to be super smart, a 4.0 student, having a high IQ, or scoring a 1600 on the SAT's.
Genius's are able to look at problems differently and find different ways to solve the problems. Genius's are able to make their thoughts quite visible. Genius's are also able to prepare themselves for chance. Geniuses know "how" to think instead of "what" to think. By having this strategies in mind, I hope to use some of them to make my Genius Hour project the best it can be.
